The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Goma came free, but Angel Comizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute Manuel Amânaloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Comizzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandria Team08's Laurențiu Popescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Artizar in the 7th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Artizar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Laurențiu Popescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcelo Gallardo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Laurențiu Popescu came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Menchu FC's Leonel Karlo. But to his dismay, Leonel Karlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alexandria Team08's Laurențiu Popescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Artizar in the 30th minute of play. Menchu FC's Leopoldo Artizar got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Valentin Susara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Artizar in the 34th minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Laurențiu Popescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurențiu Popescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Artizar in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Valentin Susara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Amânaloae could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Angel Comizzo made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Karlo was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Artizar came free, but Laurențiu Popescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timoteo Colas's late challenge caught a Alexandria Team08's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timoteo Colas helped the player get up and apologised. Timoteo Colas kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Leonel Karlo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Menchu FC's Javier Pinola was substituted for Timoteo Colas. 63 minutes into the game, Radu Pătru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alexandria Team08's Laurențiu Popescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Artizar in the 75th minute of play. Angel Comizzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Goma in the 83rd minute of play. A hard shot 86 in the game by Leonel Karlo from a close distance when the talented Laurențiu Popescu managed to make a qualified save. Alexandria Team08's players were relieved. Leonel Karlos short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Laurențiu Popescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Laurențiu Popescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiberiu Iuga kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
