NK FOLKROLA's Veselko Recko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Duarte in the 17th minute of play. Severino Herena came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by NK FOLKROLA's Marij Jazbec. But to his dismay, Marij Jazbec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Robert Koren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Herena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Cornelio Oskitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Veselko Recko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornelio Oskitz's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. NK FOLKROLA's Veselko Recko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Osorio in the 29th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, NK FOLKROLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marij Jazbec to maneuver through the defense. Severino Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ugo Gerzić, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Slavoljub Bukovec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Herena came out of the goal and Slavoljub Bukovec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severino Herena made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Robert Koren sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Independiente were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Koren made a kick off. Severino Herena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Koren in the 51st minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, NK FOLKROLA's goalkeeper Veselko Recko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primitivo Duarte. Primitivo Duarte scored 1-3 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Veselko Recko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to NK FOLKROLA getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Robert Koren hit a great ball. With his leg Veselko Recko managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Independiente's Primitivo Duarte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match was over Independiente could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than NK FOLKROLA throughout the match.
