In the 7th minute Thiago Almada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Comizzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan José Ferraro in the 10th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Angel Comizzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Elias Pagomari recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angel Comizzo. Elias Pagomari showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. GuateFortín's attentive Juan José Ferraro managed to snatch the ball when Rigoberto Cuarto made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. Leopoldo Artizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Opah Gol having to interfere. In the 25th minute Leonel Karlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Opah Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Opah Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Artizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Opah Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Karlo in the 32nd minute of play. Marcelo Gallardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Opah Gol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Gallardo ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Karlo came free, but Opah Gol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's Elias Pagomari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angel Comizzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 46 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Behrens. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Pagomari made a kick off. Angel Comizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Opah Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Gallardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match, Leopoldo Artizar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Opah Gol saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Angel Comizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angel Comizzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Fernandez in the 59th minute of the match. GuateFortín made a substitution. Milton Umaña replaced Victor Valenzuela. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Victor Valenzuela got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Fornos in the 66th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Angel Comizzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Milton Umaña. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Karlo got free with Opah Gol in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Opah Gol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonel Karlo's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Angel Comizzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Pagomari in the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Quentin in the 84th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Opah Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot by Rigoberto Cuarto from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Opah Gol's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Leonel Karlo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Opah Gol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menchu FC. In the 96th minute, Felipe Quentin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Opah Gol. The goal made the score 1-1. GuateFortín succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Menchu FC had controlled the match.
