Thanks to some nice moves Valdomiro Duarte could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Laurențiu Popescu however easily saved by the left post. Serafim Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Amânaloae in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Mandrak in the 42nd minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Laurențiu Popescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramiro Rosado in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Laurențiu Popescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Bruninho Arósio hit a great ball. Serafim Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Amânaloae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Várzea F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alexandria Team08 were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdomiro Duarte was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ion Turcescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexandria Team08's supporters rose to their feet, but Ion Turcescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafim Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Filipe Mendonça hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Iuga in the 90th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafim Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Várzea F.C.'s Serafim Mesquita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Várzea F.C. from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ion Turcescu came free, but Serafim Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
