In the 12th minute Osmar Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jussef Ben Mami saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Clementi charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Epifanio Clementi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Salmiyah Power's Epifanio Clementi got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some careless play in the Guararapes defense, Noureddine Adjani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Rosa. The Guararapes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Rosa should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Salmiyah Power's Munir Abdallah got a free kick in the 35th minute. Clemente de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Salmiyah Power's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clemente de Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Guararapes's Clemente de Alcântara got a free kick in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Salmiyah Power's Jussef Ben Mami got control of the ball when Rafael Meirelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osmar Nunes made a kick off. Leonard Bărnuțiu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Cristiano Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guararapes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guararapes's Paulo Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Adjani in the 85th minute of play. Jussef Ben Mami showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Esteves in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osmar Nunes in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jussef Ben Mami prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jussef Ben Mami came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Guararapes's Alfredinho Oliveira. But to his dismay, Alfredinho Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Guararapes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
