Academia Monte Gordo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovânio Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Veiga in the 15th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Armindo Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes, Jeff Beck made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Academia Monte Gordo's Armindo Silveira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Armindo Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeff Beck's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Veiga came free, but Armindo Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Mário Azevedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armindo Silveira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Academia Monte Gordo's Armindo Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Veiga in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovânio Veiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Geovânio Veiga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armindo Silveira. The goal made the score 0-5. Pindobassu EC were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Academia Monte Gordo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mário Azevedo took the corner. After some careless play in the Academia Monte Gordo defense, Nilmar Vargas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armindo Silveira. The Academia Monte Gordo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Silveira should have stopped the shot. Geovânio Veiga succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. Armindo Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Veiga in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Academia Monte Gordo booed when Pindobassu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho França didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pindobassu EC's Wilian Mendonça was substituted for Geovânio Veiga. Pindobassu EC's Azmi Kamuran was substituted for Víktor Donatello. In the 73rd match minute, Pindobassu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho França to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Pindobassu EC's Armindo Silveira threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilian Mendonça, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wilian Mendonça succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-9. Armindo Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilian Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Wilian Mendonça reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armindo Silveira. The goal made the score 0-10. Academia Monte Gordo's Armindo Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Monte Gordo from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Pindobassu EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Academia Monte Gordo throughout the match.
