Raimundo Aznaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kalessin's Raimundo Aznaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Mendes in the 7th minute of play. Gonzalo Regis struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Armindo Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kalessin. Bram Bosman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 33 minutes, Gonzalo Regis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kalessin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Regis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon Romildo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armindo Silveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Simon Romildo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Gonzalo Regis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Armindo Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Romildo in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Federico Terciero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalessin were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Academia Monte Gordo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Terciero took the corner. The corner ended in Federico Terciero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia Monte Gordo's Armindo Silveira did a great save. In the 62nd minute Simon Romildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalessin's Saul Nicholas was substituted for Simon Romildo. Armindo Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Nicholas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Kalessin booed when Academia Monte Gordo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrício Macieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Aznaro made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Rodolfo Freitas sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the game, Saul Nicholas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Armindo Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saul Nicholas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Nicholas came free, but Armindo Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armindo Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Regis's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Armindo Silveira came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Kalessin's Saul Nicholas. But to his dismay, Saul Nicholas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Kalessin were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Academia Monte Gordo for a fine match.
