In the 3rd match minute, Delta FS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Ornelas to maneuver through the defense. Alípio Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Larpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 minutes Delta FS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elvio Larpe who took care of the corner kick. Elvio Larpe made a great header on Caballeritos del Baile's corner, it was just that Delta FS's Alípio Magalhães managed to reach the ball for a save. Alípio Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Deunoro in the 8th minute of the match. After 11 minutes, Eduardo Endura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caballeritos del Baile and the Delta FS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Caballeritos del Baile's Damián Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Ribas in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasco Ribas during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute Agustin Ilixo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Nicolas Raposo's late challenge caught a Caballeritos del Baile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Raposo helped the player get up and apologised. Damián Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Putu Molek, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Damián Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Oliveira in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Vasco Ribas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damián Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damián Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andaka Mellon in the 36th minute of the match. Damián Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrício Saldanha in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Vasco Ribas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damián Martínez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

The wind increased when Jairo Deunoro made the kick off in the second half. It was a brilliant solo performance by Delta FS's Vasco Ribas when he shot the ball into the net to 0-3 in the 55th minute. Putu Molek came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Damián Martínez could save by the left post. Damián Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andaka Mellon in the 66th minute of the match. Damián Martínez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Oliveira went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Patrício Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caballeritos del Baile's Jairo Deunoro got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to Delta FS's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Jairo Deunoro tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Alípio Magalhães seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. In the 94th minute Patrício Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damián Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Delta FS's Vasco Ribas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Damián Martínez. That made the score 0-5 after 96 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Delta FS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
