The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Christer Majman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Nesto. Alzaga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christer Majman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Timmernabben FF were furious when Pieter-Maarten Matthijs was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Timmernabben FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Lou Moses, was totally fooled by Alzaga FC's Celedonio Erdiano, who 10 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Placido Lia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lou Moses came out and tried to block the shot, but Placido Lia slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Tiburcio Quintun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alzaga FC's Jorge Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Majman in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Christer Majman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Nesto. Alzaga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christer Majman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. A collision led to Alzaga FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Natalio Elivareo hit a great ball. Christer Majman kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Natalio Elivareo put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lou Moses. In the 37th match minute, Alzaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Elivareo to maneuver through the defense. Timmernabben FF's Lou Moses played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Ekain in the 39th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Christer Majman made the kick off in the second half. Lou Moses made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Lia in the 53rd minute of play. Jorge Nesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Olof Bengtsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Alzaga FC's Natalio Elivareo got a free kick in the 55th minute. Lou Moses took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Lia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timmernabben FF's Lou Moses played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Lia in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Alzaga FC's Natalio Elivareo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Lou Moses took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Lia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes of play, Timmernabben FF's Sven-Olof Bengtsson made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Nesto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celedonio Erdiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alzaga FC's Humberto Manilan was substituted for Celedonio Erdiano. In the 83rd minute, Hilario Dei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 minutes, Placido Lia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alzaga FC and the Timmernabben FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 played minutes Alzaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Placido Lia. Christer Majman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jorge Nesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
