Lipa KS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrício Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alfred Chazen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasco Ribas, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Vasco Ribas hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The supporters of Delta FS booed when Lipa KS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Mlekodaj was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The wind increased when Nuno Marques made the kick off in the second half. Delta FS's Alípio Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaw Jazwiec in the 54th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Lipa KS's corner Gustaw Jazwiec fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alípio Magalhães quite easily take care of the ball. Alípio Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaw Jazwiec in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaw Jazwiec in the 80th minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Alípio Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delta FS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaw Jazwiec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Lipa KS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
