After 5 minutes of play, The Cavern Club's Angel Aballe made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaudencio Lope was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cosme Sidro kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Donny Read managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colosos Afc's supporters rose to their feet, but Donny Read was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Aballe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Colosos Afc's Gaudencio Lope proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Colosos Afc from getting a goal against them. Nicolás Burdisso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gaudencio Lope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ubaldo Shepherd lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Colosos Afc booed when The Cavern Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Shepherd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando Benet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Fernan George managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Cavern Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernan George was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Lope breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaudencio Lope was a little too slow when Nicolás Burdisso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Aballe to strike the kick off in the second half. Celestino Gartzen scored 3-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Aballe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Prospero Aballe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donny Read, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Angel Aballe put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gaudencio Lope. 62 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's Nicolás Burdisso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaudencio Lope narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
