After a rather tough play, Knight Of Dawn's Eliseo Magdaleno got a free kick in the 8th minute. With a little luck, Knight Of Dawn's Honorato Benino got control of the ball when Johnny Burns tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Blas Tabor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Knight Of Dawn's Honorato Benino got control of the ball when Olly Nethercot tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Bobby Bear dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Honorato Benino, 1-0. In the 16th minute Olly Nethercot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Benino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Knight Of Dawn's zone, Johnny Burns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorato Benino came out of the goal and Johnny Burns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olly Nethercot in the 20th minute of play forced Knight Of Dawn's goalkeeper Honorato Benino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnny Burnss short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Honorato Benino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 24 played minutes Knight Of Dawn got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Urritz. Greg Bastow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Olly Nethercot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olly Nethercot in the 34th minute of play forced Knight Of Dawn's goalkeeper Honorato Benino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olly Nethercot in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorato Benino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johnny Burns got free with Honorato Benino in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 45 minutes, Johnny Burns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético de Newell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnny Burns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernabe Tulio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Honorato Benino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olly Nethercot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teobaldo Damario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthieu Abelard having to interfere. Knight Of Dawn's Honorato Benino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olly Nethercot in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olly Nethercot in the 59th minute of play forced Knight Of Dawn's goalkeeper Honorato Benino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Eliseo Magdaleno put in a rough tackle. In the 61st minute, one of Knight Of Dawn:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Knight Of Dawn. Knight Of Dawn:s Honorato Benino showed great skill when he stopped Olly Nethercot:s penalty. Honorato Benino came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético de Newell's Olly Nethercot. But to his dismay, Olly Nethercot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Bear in the 68th minute of play forced Knight Of Dawn's goalkeeper Honorato Benino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute Olly Nethercot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Benino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Burns during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The long shot by Omar Ortzi in the 92nd minute really tested Matthieu Abelard's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 96 minutes of play, Club Atlético de Newell's Olly Nethercot made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Honorato Benino was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético de Newell fully deserved thier win.
