In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaudencio Lope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Arendarski in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing got control of the ball when Donny Read tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Donny Read took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Meng Yan Jing to make any attempt to save it. Donny Read's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Meng Yan Jing firmly grabbed it by the left post. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Colosos Afc's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. 40 minutes into the match, Colosos Afc's goal looked a bit too open when Ye Hong came free, but Gaudencio Lope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michal Arendarski to make the kick off.
