The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Justo Cuarto's late challenge caught a Clapham Rovers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Milian kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Clapham Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darius Ramsden to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Toscano in the 20th minute of play forced Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's goalkeeper Bonifacio Paul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's Delmiro Dalmau got a free kick in the 21st minute. Edward Preston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Danel, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Delmiro Dalmau made in the 26th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Justo Cuarto immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Danel in the 28th minute of play forced Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Edward Preston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cléberson Mendonça in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifacio Paul prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's Bonifacio Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Toscano in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's Bonifacio Paul got control of the ball when Cléberson Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 played minutes Clapham Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Gavin Sedgemore. 43 minutes in the game Delmiro Dalmau did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Justo Cuarto. Ceferino Danel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Preston having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Clapham Rovers's Gavin Sedgemore got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that João Francisco Toscano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bonifacio Paul was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. The supporters of Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ booed when Clapham Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavin Sedgemore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bonifacio Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Cléberson Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Clapham Rovers's Gavin Sedgemore tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Damien Quinn came free, but Bonifacio Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fermin Weather's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edward Preston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Clapham Rovers were the better team. Clapham Rovers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
