With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Leclerc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Valentin Krotev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gercho Nenchovski might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Leclerc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gercho Nenchovski ran back to his position shaking his head. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Haralampi Kúrkelanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco da Cunha in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Falcão Soeiros short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Haralampi Kúrkelanov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Jumeuc Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jumeuc Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
