Nestor Cordeiro, 3 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 5th minute, Tomás Schmidt fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gláuber Nascimento, passed just outside the right post. Tomás Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Campidelis in the 13th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Sandrinho Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Rony Aparecido charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rony Aparecido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Rony Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Mangueira in the 22nd minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Sandrinho Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Meira's late challenge caught a AF CERRADO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Meira helped the player get up and apologised. Armando Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Thiago Damião was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. AF CERRADO's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Brazil Academy's Gláuber Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Brazil Academy from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Omar came free, but Sandrinho Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdo de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Cido Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Thiago Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot. AF CERRADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Thiago Damião was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gláuber Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gláuber Nascimento was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Thiago Damião capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Thiago Damião really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After some careless play in the Brazil Academy defense, Joel Gerber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gláuber Nascimento. The Brazil Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gláuber Nascimento should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximiliano Omar was the one to do the kick off. Gláuber Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Goiano in the 52nd minute of the match. If Thiago Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Tomás Schmidt got a free kick in the 56th minute. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Zé Paulo Campidelis took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Sandrinho Sabóia to make any attempt to save it. After 59 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Omar. Gláuber Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Goiano in the 62nd minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Gláuber Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AF CERRADO's Sandrinho Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save AF CERRADO from getting a goal against them. Richard Travassos hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. AF CERRADO's Sandrinho Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Mangueira in the 70th minute of play. After 72 minutes, Valdo de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brazil Academy and the AF CERRADO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Valdo de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the game, João Azevedo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Brazil Academy's Aírton Souza was substituted for João Azevedo. In the 76th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Gerber to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Mangueira came free, but Sandrinho Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Brazil Academy booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Mangueira came free, but Sandrinho Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match Brazil Academy got a corner. AF CERRADO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aírton Souza ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Brazil Academy's corner Aírton Souza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sandrinho Sabóia quite easily take care of the ball. Sandrinho Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Maximiliano Omar sent off a good shot on target. AF CERRADO's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
