In the 4th minute of the match, Ief De Groote got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wágner Ribeiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to FC Draconia getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Klaus Dhondt hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Draconia's zone, Valério Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Nwachukwu came out of the goal and Valério Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Caetano Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uwe Nwachukwu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério Peres in the 11th minute of play. Wágner Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Ief De Groote sent off a good shot on target. The Misericordia EC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Misericordia EC's Bob Dinamite looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristof Van Dessen during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, FC Draconia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristof Van Dessen to maneuver through the defense. FC Draconia's Uwe Nwachukwu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Dinamite in the 25th minute of play. Etienne Langhmans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wágner Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Uwe Nwachukwu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Dinamite in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Misericordia EC booed when FC Draconia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Van Damme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uwe Nwachukwu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Dinamite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wágner Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ief De Groote in the 44th minute. Misericordia EC's Wágner Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Misericordia EC from getting a goal against them. After the first half Misericordia EC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Etienne Langhmans made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Ief De Groote made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Misericordia EC's Wágner Ribeiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Etienne Langhmans in the 59th minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Wágner Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Draconia booed when Misericordia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zico Matamoros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Misericordia EC's Wágner Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Etienne Langhmans in the 64th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Misericordia EC's Bob Dinamite dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Etienne Langhmans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wágner Ribeiro having to make a save. FC Draconia's Teo De Kelper managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Diogo Neiva in the 87 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, FC Draconia's Adrià Vassaras got a free kick in the 89th minute. When Etienne Langhmans came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Draconia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Etienne Langhmans couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Misericordia EC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Diogo Neiva hit a great ball. Štefko Stadnyuk, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Misericordia EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
