AF CERRADO's Sandrinho Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Monclús in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Davi Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Schmidt got free with Tautvydas Mickevičius in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Armandinho de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AF CERRADO's protests and gave Armandinho de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho de Salles. Tautvydas Mickevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the game, Kaká Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Tautvydas Mickevičius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 83 minutes, Nestor Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Guido Carrillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Schmidt got free with Tautvydas Mickevičius in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor Cordeiro made in the 98th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kaká Goiano. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AF CERRADO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
