The referee ignored ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's protests and gave Omar Erez a yellow card for diving instead. 7 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when André Monclús came free, but Kurniawan Bisri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes PHOENIX SC got a freekick which was hit by Aras Pandiangan. PHOENIX SC's Kurniawan Bisri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Monclús in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Monclús in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurniawan Bisri saved PHOENIX SC from getting behind. In the 18th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Lano to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Kamarudin Simatupang kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tautvydas Mickevičius. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Tautvydas Mickevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holin Probohudono, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Omar Erez kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Tautvydas Mickevičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamarudin Simatupang in the 31st minute of the match. Tautvydas Mickevičius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kamarudin Simatupang went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Monclús stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holin Probohudono in the 56th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the PHOENIX SC defense, André Monclús kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kurniawan Bisri. The PHOENIX SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kurniawan Bisri should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genta Durahman during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Omar Erez hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamarudin Simatupang in the 66th minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurniawan Bisri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kamarudin Simatupang scored 4-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tautvydas Mickevičius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
