Wincenty Balkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klement Plachetka in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of The Irons Chorzów booed when Pogoń Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Golob didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, The Irons Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Plachetka came free, but Wincenty Balkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wincenty Balkiewicz made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Klement Plachetka sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute Emil Dobilas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Domamir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Klement Plachetka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the match, The Irons Chorzów's goalkeeper Wincenty Balkiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klement Plachetka. Pogoń Szczecin's Klement Plachetka suffered a concussion in the 38th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 38 minutes into the game, Teobald Tomaka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Irons Chorzów's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pogoń Szczecin the free kick. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Wincenty Balkiewicz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sylwester Borowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, The Irons Chorzów's Emil Dobilas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Sylwester Borowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pogoń Szczecin's supporters rose to their feet, but Sylwester Borowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wincenty Balkiewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sylwester Borowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wincenty Balkiewicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sylwester Borowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Filip Starzyński kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Pogoń Szczecin's Andrzej Bentkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karol Burdzel kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwidon Popowicz in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Emil Dobilas got in the 92nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Krzysztof Domamir handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pogoń Szczecin's Sylwester Borowski got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
