Spectators: 7760 (Terracing: 5821, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hardi Laanemets started the match with the kick off. Lembit Nurmela hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute Priidu Joa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mart Poom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Priidu Joa in the 7th minute of play forced Vila's goalkeeper Mart Poom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vila's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peedu Kravik was slow to take the kick. During this time Vormsi Vald's players had a chance to rest. Vormsi Vald's Reino Annama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Nigol in the 12th minute of play. Reino Annama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Vilberg in the 18th minute of play. Reino Annama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Vilberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vormsi Vald's zone, Lembit Nurmela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reino Annama came out of the goal and Lembit Nurmela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lembit Nurmela's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reino Annama firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 24th minute, Elmu Treimann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Vila:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vormsi Vald:s goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Vila's Lembit Nurmela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reino Annama. That made the score 1-1 after 29 minutes of play. 35 minutes into the match, Vila's goal looked a bit too open when Hardi Laanemets came free, but Mart Poom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lembit Nurmela charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lembit Nurmela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vila getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lembit Nurmela hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Lembit Nurmela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Reino Annama was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Toomas Lasso's late challenge caught a Vila's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toomas Lasso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute of the match Uudo Vähe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reino Annama showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lembit Nurmela to make the kick off. Vormsi Vald's Reino Annama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lembit Nurmela in the 50th minute of play. Lembit Nurmela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reino Annama having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Vormsi Vald's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Vilberg came free, but Reino Annama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vormsi Vald's Kerdo Mölder got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Kerdo Mölder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reino Annama came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vila's Lembit Nurmela. But to his dismay, Lembit Nurmela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Reino Annama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Vilberg in the 67th minute of play. Bruno Nigol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Lembit Nurmela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reino Annama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reino Annama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lembit Nurmela in the 75th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Vila got a freekick which was hit by Raido Umal. 79 minutes into the match, Vormsi Vald's Peedu Kravik broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Toomas Lasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mart Poom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Priidu Joa in the 83rd minute. When Vila's Lembit Nurmela in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vormsi Vald's goalie prevented a goal. In the 94th minute, Bruno Nigol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vila fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Vila's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
