Spectators: 7682 (Terracing: 5762, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) Pau Nas Canelas's Palmiro Picasso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Gimnasia y tiro defense, Edinho Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Ubendu. The Gimnasia y tiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Ubendu should have stopped the shot. Hilario Ubendu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edinho Moraes in the 8th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Edinho Moraes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gimnasia y tiro's Hilario Ubendu. Hilario Ubendu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Palmiro Picassos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Hilario Ubendu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pau Nas Canelas were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Gimnasia y tiro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Palmiro Picasso took the corner. The corner led Pau Nas Canelas's Palmiro Picasso to fire away a dangerous shot which Hilario Ubendu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mário Vilas Boas kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Pau Nas Canelas's Palmiro Picasso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia y tiro's zone, Ludomir Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Ubendu came out of the goal and Ludomir Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hilario Ubendu was a little too slow when Edinho Moraes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 4-0. Gentil Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Arixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gimnasia y tiro's Hilario Ubendu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y tiro from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Moraes came free, but Hilario Ubendu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Hilario Ubendu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Palmiro Picasso in the 55th minute of the match. Edinho Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hilario Ubendu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pau Nas Canelas fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Pau Nas Canelas's Edinho Moraes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Palmiro Picasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hilario Ubendu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinho Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th match minute, Pau Nas Canelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palmiro Picasso to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Palmiro Picasso notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Gimnasia y tiro's Hilario Ubendu. Hilario Ubendu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edinho Moraes in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilario Ubendu saved Gimnasia y tiro from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Palmiro Picasso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pau Nas Canelas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. If Palmiro Picasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gimnasia y tiro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
