The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the game Stewart Browne made a throw-in which Vance Ainsworth played forward. 12 minutes into the match, Rowan Ryder notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sporting Tuga FC's Eusébio Caiado. Eusébio Caiado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eusébio Caiado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Westwood in the 15th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Telmo Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Tuga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Henley on Thames United the free kick. Telmo Silveira hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Glenn Westwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Caiado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Caiado came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Henley on Thames United's Glenn Westwood. But to his dismay, Glenn Westwood quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames United's Glenn Westwood sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Caiado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sporting Tuga FC's Eusébio Caiado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy Gray in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Henley on Thames United booed when Sporting Tuga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mete Mete didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Henley on Thames United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. João Vítor Donato hit a great ball. Sporting Tuga FC's Eusébio Caiado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy Gray in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Henley on Thames United's Glenn Westwood nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusébio Caiado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Hélder Pimentel fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Tuga FC's protests and gave Hélder Pimentel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Hélder Pimentel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th match minute, Henley on Thames United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vance Ainsworth to maneuver through the defense. The Sporting Tuga FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Henley on Thames United were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hélder Pimentel to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Henley on Thames United's Jeremy Gray got a free kick in the 51st minute. Glenn Westwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, Jeremy Gray cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Eusébio Caiado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henley on Thames United made a substitution. Tarjei Tomren replaced Vance Ainsworth. After a rather tough play, Sporting Tuga FC's Antero Couto got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, João Vítor Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filipe Salgueiro kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Sporting Tuga FC's Eusébio Caiado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Westwood in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Sporting Tuga FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Caiado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rowan Ryder. Ross Armitage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Silveira in the 79th minute of play. Henley on Thames United's Tony Plumber was substituted for Rowan Ryder. A collision led to Sporting Tuga FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Adelino Mourinho hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Tarjei Tomren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute Henley on Thames United were awarded a corner. Stewart Browne went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Hélder Pimentel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ross Armitage was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. João Vítor Donato charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Vítor Donato the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes Henley on Thames United got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Donato. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Glenn Westwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Henley on Thames United's supporters rose to their feet, but Glenn Westwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Caiado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henley on Thames United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
