Deividas Gedgaudas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute Raimundo Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristijonas Juzonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfredo de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modestas Mikelionis in the 27th minute of the match. Manfredo de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vėjas Geibūnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Armando Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristijonas Juzonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Vėjas Geibūnas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manfredo de Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Botelho during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Botelho to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Manfredo de Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoldas Baltušis. The supporters of Hexo Utd booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Camargo made a kick off. Arnoldas Baltušis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 51 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Vasconcelos. Armando Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Kristijonas Juzonis made a huge save. Kristijonas Juzonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Camargo in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match Capibaribe Stars got a corner. Hexo Utd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Danilo Teixeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Armando Botelho managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Pedro Luiz Figueiredo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Kristijonas Juzonis to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Hexo Utd getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Vėjas Geibūnas hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Víktor Terra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristijonas Juzonis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manfredo de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modestas Mikelionis in the 75th minute of the match. Fabinho Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Manfredo de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Modestas Mikelionis went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Manfredo de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldas Baltušis, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The supporters of Hexo Utd booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Capibaribe Stars's Manfredo de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldas Baltušis in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hexo Utd had played much better football throughout.
