The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francesco Toldo was a little too slow when Teodosio Evangelista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-3. Mando Lucifer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Frasquito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mando Lucifer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudio Frasquito was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Mando Lucifer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Frasquito having to interfere. Teofilo Sustrai scored 1-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Frasquito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mando Lucifer might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Frasquito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mando Lucifer ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Eron got free with Francesco Toldo in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
