The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Luna got free with Francesco Toldo in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 7 minutes into the game, Epifanio Cristos threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gremio Viana's Despot Majetić quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 12 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Hildeberto Póvoas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Tono in the 14th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Vicente Paixão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Gaston Mendebal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Mendebal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Paixão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Hildeberto Póvoas. Carlos Luna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. Teofilo Sustrai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Vicente Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Luna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. Gaston Mendebal took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Paixão. Vicente Paixão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Gremio Viana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Epifanio Cristos took the corner. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Epifanio Cristos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vicente Paixão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severo Tono to make the kick off. Hildeberto Póvoas hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Gabriel-Omar Lewandowski could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Vicente Paixão however easily saved by the left post. Gremio Viana's Leonardo Valido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Epifanio Cristos in the 54 minute of the game. After having played for 59 minutes, Carlos Luna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio Viana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Luna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Resurrección Diabólica Ψ getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Epifanio Cristos hit a great ball. Gabriel-Omar Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Vicente Paixão made a huge save. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Mando Lucifer was substituted for Severo Tono. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ made a substitution. Filiberto Etxahun replaced Epifanio Cristos. Gremio Viana's Despot Majetić managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Filiberto Etxahun in the 73 minute of the game. Mando Lucifer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vicente Paixão came out and tried to block the shot, but Mando Lucifer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mando Lucifer in the 85th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Vicente Paixão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Mendebal came free, but Vicente Paixão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Mando Lucifer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Vicente Paixão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Mando Lucifer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Paixão. Gremio Viana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mando Lucifer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Resurrección Diabólica Ψ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gremio Viana.
