The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélio Paião got free with Vicente Paixão in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Luna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Idalécio Rego having to make a save. Idalécio Rego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Luna in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chihuahua StrikerS™ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gremio Viana.
