Margarito Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Almada in the 7th minute of play. Fabian Ortzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Lavallée, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horace Vaughn in the 16th minute of play forced CERPA's goalkeeper Fabian Ortzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Almadas short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Margarito Santana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 18 minutes into the match, Flames FC's goalkeeper Margarito Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thiago Almada. Fabian Ortzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Garland in the 25th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Severino Edwardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flames FC's Margarito Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roald Høgås hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Severino Edwardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CERPA's Fabian Ortzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Garland in the 38th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Darin Nunn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flames FC and the CERPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Felipe Txerran sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Flames FC's Margarito Santana didn't even have to move. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thiago Almada was the one to do the kick off. Margarito Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thiago Almada's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Beau Hinojosa hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Horace Vaughn kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Margarito Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Edwardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CERPA's goalkeeper Fabian Ortzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thiago Almada during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabian Ortzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Garland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle.
