Sergio Gutierrez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calito Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, JFSP's Kléberson Laguna got control of the ball when Diómedes Rodriguez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diómedes Rodriguez got free with Kléberson Laguna in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Ramos made a great header on ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s corner, it was just that JFSP's Kléberson Laguna managed to reach the ball for a save. If Diómedes Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But to his dismay, Edinson Gentenaar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Sergio Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo de Souza in the 92nd minute of play. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Diómedes Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. JFSP's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
