The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago Almada got free with Gonçalo de Amorim in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabian Ortzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of CERPA booed when America Futebol Clube SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ermegildo Gora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd match minute, CERPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Edwardo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, America Futebol Clube SP's Rodriguinho Varela got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 37 minutes, Nilton Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the America Futebol Clube SP and the CERPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes America Futebol Clube SP got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Sanches. Gonçalo de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Ermegildo Gora sent off a good shot on target. America Futebol Clube SP's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Severino Edwardo scored to the left of an out of position Gonçalo de Amorim, making the score, 1-0. CERPA's Octavio Salomon got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermegildo Gora made a kick off. Gonçalo de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Salomon in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of America Futebol Clube SP booed when CERPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Asteri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, one of CERPA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CERPA. After 63 minutes of play, America Futebol Clube SP's Luiz Paulo Albuquerque made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabian Ortzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ermegildo Gora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When CERPA's Octavio Salomon in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye America Futebol Clube SP's goalie prevented a goal. If Ermegildo Gora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Rony Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in America Futebol Clube SP's zone, Ermegildo Gora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo de Amorim came out of the goal and Ermegildo Gora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Gora came free, but Gonçalo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Salomon, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Gonçalo de Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavio Salomon's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermegildo Gora in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonçalo de Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. America Futebol Clube SP's Gonçalo de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Gora in the 92nd minute of play. Geronimo Aritza got a throw-in 96 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Thiago Almada. CERPA were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
