Haroldo Nofre's late challenge caught a Sliema Dragons FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvio Gaufred came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcelo Severiano could save by the left post. Leon Desira lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mike Salamone to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Julian Savona took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Julian Eutropio to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Savona in the 57th minute of play forced TORQUE F.C.'s goalkeeper Julian Eutropio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Eutropio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Savona in the 73rd minute. Mike Salamone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Sliema Dragons FC's Julian Savona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julian Eutropio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. Hugon Debowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Julian Eutropio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Eutropio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Salamone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Sliema Dragons FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TORQUE F.C. throughout the match.
