An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Mangion in the 6th minute of play forced Linghed Angels FC's goalkeeper Algot Ennegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 minutes of play, Sliema Dragons FC's Martin Mangion made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Algot Ennegren was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the game, Kurt Askestät was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linghed Angels FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sliema Dragons FC the free kick. In the 11th minute, Kurt Askestät hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Ove Hellström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Severiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, Julian Savona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Algot Ennegren. Linghed Angels FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Savona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig-Ove Elg got free with Marcelo Severiano in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelo Severiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Hellström, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Severiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörgen Magnusson. Linghed Angels FC's Algot Ennegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Savona in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Isak Vestberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Severiano, 2-2. Marcelo Severiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jörgen Magnusson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 35 minute of play. Marcelo Severiano made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Jörgen Magnusson sent off a good shot on target. Sliema Dragons FC's Marcelo Severiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Hellström in the 44th minute of play. Stig-Ove Elg kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ove Hellström made a kick off. Marcelo Severiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Severiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Magnusson in the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Linghed Angels FC booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Scalpello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Algot Ennegren was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Martin Mangion capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martin Mangion really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. Marcelo Severiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ove Hellström went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. 74 minutes into the match, Julian Savona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Algot Ennegren. Linghed Angels FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Savona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. Ove Hellström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Marcelo Severiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Ryan Grima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Algot Ennegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Ødegaard hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Marcelo Severiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jörgen Magnusson went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-4 was the resulting score. Marcelo Severiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Jörgen Magnusson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-4. Marcelo Severiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sliema Dragons FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
