Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gert Sterckx started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, Invictus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart De Keyser to maneuver through the defense. Wannes De Tapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Savona in the 12th minute of play. Marcelo Severiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koen Huijsmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Wannes De Tapp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Grimaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sliema Dragons FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Leo Scalpello hit a great ball. Sliema Dragons FC's Marcelo Severiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wart Decremer in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Invictus FC defense, Martin Mangion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wannes De Tapp. The Invictus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wannes De Tapp should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Invictus FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Gert Sterckx hit a great ball. In the 31st minute of the match, Ryan Grima tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wannes De Tapp saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Lennart De Keyser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Invictus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart De Keyser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Severiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The throw-in from Leo Scalpello in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Invictus FC's Leandro Galvão. 37 minutes into the match, Lennart De Keyser notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sliema Dragons FC's Marcelo Severiano. Marcelo Severiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute, Hugon Debowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaac Grimaud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Wannes De Tapp made a huge save. Wannes De Tapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Savona in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart De Keyser came free, but Marcelo Severiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Mangion to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Grima in the 51st minute of play forced Invictus FC's goalkeeper Wannes De Tapp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Sliema Dragons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Deguara to maneuver through the defense. When Invictus FC's Lennart De Keyser, in the 55th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Invictus FC. Wart Decremer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Marcelo Severiano made a huge save. After some careless play in the Invictus FC defense, Isaac Grimaud kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wannes De Tapp. The Invictus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wannes De Tapp should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Isaac Grimaud notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Invictus FC's Wannes De Tapp. Wannes De Tapp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 75 minutes into the match, Martin Mangion had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wannes De Tapp. Invictus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Mangion was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Invictus FC's Lennart De Keyser slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Severiano. That made the score 4-3 after 80 minutes of play. Wannes De Tapp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Mangion, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart De Keyser came free, but Marcelo Severiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
