In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Niklas Sauter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th minute of the match Arrecifes got a corner. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cesar Gau ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Arrecifes's zone, Cirilo Urki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Sauter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was a well-played corner which Prudencio Quintyn managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a little luck, Arrecifes's Chiquinho Romero got control of the ball when Cirilo Urki tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Gilberto Jakobe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Niklas Sauter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arrecifes's Chiquinho Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Arrecifes from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Gilberto Jakobe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Jakobe came free, but Niklas Sauter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Igor Emmanuel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niklas Sauter was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Zheng Ting Di hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Emmanuel came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Niklas Sauter could save by the left post.
