Niklas Sauter was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alexander Törnblom. Cirilo Urki might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simon Bergsten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Urki ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute Cirilo Urki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Bergsten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cirilo Urki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simon Bergsten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Urki in the 24th minute of the match. When Kristoffer Kleen fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HEJA ESLÖV's protests and gave Kristoffer Kleen a yellow card for diving instead. Simon Bergsten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of HEJA ESLÖV booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Zeyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. HEJA ESLÖV's Simon Bergsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Urki in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bengt-Rune Linberg made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Junior Adamu. Simon Bergsten came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Cirilo Urki. But to his dismay, Cirilo Urki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 58 minutes into the game, Hartwig Kuhn threw the ball into play from the sideline. When Lino Tempels fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s protests and gave Lino Tempels a yellow card for diving instead. 74 minutes into the game, Cirilo Urki lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Simon Bergsten. If Cirilo Urki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cirilo Urki got free with Simon Bergsten in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, Junior Adamu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 minutes, Cirilo Urki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. and the HEJA ESLÖV players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the final whistle sounded SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than HEJA ESLÖV.
