The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gilberto Jakobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. de belletrekkers's Kristiaan Van de Velde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Jakobe in the 3rd minute of play. Kristiaan Van de Velde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, de belletrekkers's goal looked a bit too open when Oddbjørn Haugli came free, but Kristiaan Van de Velde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gino Focquier's late challenge caught a Arrecifes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gino Focquier helped the player get up and apologised. Gino Focquier hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Gilberto Jakobe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute, Gilberto Jakobe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arrecifes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Jurgen De Rudder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Chiquinho Romero, 1-1. In the 39th minute of the match Arrecifes got a corner. de belletrekkers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Tomi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gilberto Jakobe might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristiaan Van de Velde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Jakobe ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Jakobe in the 42nd minute of play forced de belletrekkers's goalkeeper Kristiaan Van de Velde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Arrecifes's Gilberto Jakobe made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristiaan Van de Velde was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Jurgen De Rudder made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Gilberto Jakobe notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of de belletrekkers's Kristiaan Van de Velde. In the 70th minute Igor Emmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristiaan Van de Velde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristiaan Van de Velde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Igor Emmanuel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kristiaan Van de Velde having to make a save. Afonso Tremura kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arrecifes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
