Lirarnas Lag's Christer Wästerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alf Enström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simon Bergsten during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, one of HEJA ESLÖV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for HEJA ESLÖV. HEJA ESLÖV:s Irman Roos showed great skill when he stopped Christer Wästerberg:s penalty. Karl-Michael Eriksson struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Alf Enström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HEJA ESLÖV. Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Irman Roos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Örjan Håning's late challenge caught a HEJA ESLÖV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Örjan Håning helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Örjan Håning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christer Wästerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irman Roos having to interfere. Lirarnas Lag's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christer Wästerberg in the 23rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Christer Wästerberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Irman Roos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 26th minute, Karl-Michael Eriksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Karl-Michael Eriksson came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the HEJA ESLÖV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Michael Eriksson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Lirarnas Lag booed when HEJA ESLÖV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Bergsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irman Roos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille in the 32nd minute of the match. After 32 minutes of play, Lirarnas Lag's Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Irman Roos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute Christer Wästerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irman Roos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Christer Wästerberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Irman Roos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute Christer Wästerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irman Roos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes HEJA ESLÖV got a freekick which was hit by Simon Bergsten. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

52 minutes into the match, Lirarnas Lag's Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Irman Roos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lirarnas Lag's Alf Enström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magne Bohlin in the 56th minute of play. Irman Roos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lirarnas Lag's Örjan Håning got a free kick in the 78th minute. Karl-Michael Eriksson might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alf Enström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Michael Eriksson ran back to his position shaking his head. Alf Enström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Eriksson in the 79th minute of play. Magne Bohlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Alf Enström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irman Roos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Simon Bergsten was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th match minute, HEJA ESLÖV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Bergsten to maneuver through the defense. Christer Wästerberg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Christer Wästerberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Irman Roos to make any attempt to save it.
