In the 24th minute Christer Wästerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zula Bator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Alf Enström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alf Enström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Napoleon Beninda, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 40 played minutes Lirarnas Lag got a freekick which was hit by Örjan Håning. Antoni Kieca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Enström having to interfere. Zula Bator made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille in the 45th minute of play. Zula Bator took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Wästerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Napoleon Beninda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Alessio Cinalli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoni Zacharczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Enström having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ had played much better football throughout.
