When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Vintilă Mirciulescu took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Sandro Placente to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the game, union española s.a.'s Manuel Neira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Crâșmaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a little luck, union española s.a.'s Sandro Placente got control of the ball when Ferdinand Şania tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Mirciulescu in the 37th minute of play forced union española s.a.'s goalkeeper Sandro Placente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goalkeeper Sandro Placente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iordache Arșanu. In the 61st minute Victor Encuțu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Placente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SuperDepor booed when union española s.a. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Peralta didn't get a good kick on the ball. SuperDepor's Petru Ghiciușca got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Şania in the 66th minute of play forced union española s.a.'s goalkeeper Sandro Placente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Mirciulescu came free, but Sandro Placente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes union española s.a.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petru Ghiciușca who took care of the corner kick. Alex Crâșmaru came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Neira slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SuperDepor fans cheered their team off the field, for while union española s.a. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
