Spectators: 7665 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cássio Paes kicked off to start the match. Vincente Monzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Caaguazu were awarded a corner. The corner led Caaguazu's Malvin Vidaurre to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmílson Britto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Trindade Atlético Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cássio Paes in the 14th minute. It was a well-played corner which Angelo Netto managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gavino Cresconio in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmílson Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmílson Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlo Albiz in the 18th minute of play. Edmílson Britto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Trindade Atlético Club's goalie and right to Gilesindo Tarapiella. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Trindade Atlético Club's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 42nd minute, Arlo Albiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmílson Britto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After a rather tough play, Caaguazu's Pankracy Kasiewski got a free kick in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Nóbrega came free, but Vincente Monzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute Edu Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Monzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Caaguazu were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Malvin Vidaurre made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Trindade Atlético Club's Yan Pereira. After a rather tough play, Caaguazu's Conrado Faron got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 70 minutes, Arlo Albiz made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th match minute, Trindade Atlético Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio da Silva to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Caaguazu booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlo Albiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Edmílson Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yan Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yan Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Yan Pereira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Malvin Vidaurre in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmílson Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Conrado Faron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmílson Britto having to make a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Caaguazu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
