Tor-Ivar Kalland kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Dráuzio Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrik Torstensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 played minutes Valla Fc got a freekick which was hit by Tor-Ivar Kalland. 18 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Töpfer came free, but Dráuzio Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Valla Fc were awarded a corner. Peter Töpfer went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 20th minute Fiori Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Vallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráuzio Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Töpfer in the 22nd minute of the match. Niklas Vallander made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Cafu Filho sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th play minute Cássio Prado came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Niklas Vallander. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jarbas de Queirós during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sagarana Clube's Jarbas de Queirós got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Jarbas de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Filho in the 43rd minute of play forced Valla Fc's goalkeeper Niklas Vallander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Sagarana Clube got a freekick which was hit by William Cabral. After having played for 46 minutes, Peter Töpfer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valla Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Töpfer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulrik Torstensson made a kick off. Dráuzio Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor-Ivar Kalland, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Niklas Vallander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Prado in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 played minutes Valla Fc got a freekick which was hit by Christer Säfström. Sagarana Clube were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Valla Fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vinícius Lott took the corner. Cássio Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Vallander having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Manoel de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Tor-Ivar Kalland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Valla Fc's zone, Fiori Arósio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Vallander came out of the goal and Fiori Arósio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulrik Torstensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Dráuzio Arantes made a huge save. If Cafu Filho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Valla Fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sagarana Clube.
