With a little luck, Independiente's Pastor Bartoli got control of the ball when Adhemar de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Landulfos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Estavan came free, but Silas Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pastor Bartoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar de Alcântara in the 61st minute of the match. Adhemar de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Jaunti in the 64th minute of play forced Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Silas Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mariano Gorosti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Independiente's Pastor Bartoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. Independiente's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
