Spectators: 7688 (Terracing: 5767, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adhemar de Alcântara started the match with the kick off. Christian Muc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Amador Gustau got a free kick in the 4th minute. Christian Muc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Leme went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Christian Muc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Leme's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Adolfo Policarpio lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Independiente:s Christian Muc showed great skill when he stopped Adhemar de Alcântara:s penalty. Christian Muc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar de Alcântara in the 15th minute of play. Marcelo Falcão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Muc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adhemar de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Linares in the 27th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Christian Muc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adhemar de Alcântara was slow to take the kick. During this time Landulfos FC's players had a chance to rest. Róbson Negri made a great header on Landulfos FC's corner, it was just that Independiente's Christian Muc managed to reach the ball for a save. Adhemar de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Christian Muc made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Falcão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Muc was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Linares came free, but Christian Muc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th play minute Adhemar de Alcântara came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Christian Muc. 2-0. Adhemar de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Christian Muc made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Jesco to make the kick off. Arturo Jesco in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Silas Britto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 56 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar de Alcântara came free, but Christian Muc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Muc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar de Alcântara in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Jesco in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silas Britto saved Landulfos FC from getting behind. In the 63rd match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Iruinea to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar de Alcântara in the 73rd minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Christian Muc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Muc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Adhemar de Alcântara notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Independiente's Christian Muc. Christian Muc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christian Muc came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Landulfos FC's José Carlos Linares. But to his dismay, José Carlos Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Edgardo Lluterio kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The supporters of Independiente booed when Landulfos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Landulfos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Independiente had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
