The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Ibrahim Chapalain who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Valeriy Smalko when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bixente Morio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Symon Glushko, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ibrahim Chapalain got free with Valeriy Smalko in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the game, Les Pionniers de Touraine's Yvan Sabathe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valeriy Smalko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Symon Glushko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bixente Morio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Les Pionniers de Touraine getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Karl Cauchy hit a great ball. Valeriy Smalko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yvan Sabathe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Symon Glushko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bixente Morio having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigue Davoust got free with Valeriy Smalko in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, FC Kolos's goalkeeper Valeriy Smalko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigue Davoust. In the 94th minute, Les Pionniers de Touraine's Ibrahim Chapalain ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valeriy Smalko. Valeriy Smalko yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Rodrigue Davoust's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valeriy Smalko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Castex in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valeriy Smalko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The FC Kolos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Les Pionniers de Touraine were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
