Luís Guilherme Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute of the match, Damian Trac got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edmundo Falcão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Edmundo Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Trac in the 46th minute of play. With 47 minutes on the clock, Luís Guilherme Rosa commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 47 minutes into the game, one of Joinville City - FSCMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilson da Rocha made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, International Thunders's Björn Hainl made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 71 minutes, Damian Trac made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Cristiano Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
