Spectators: 7650 (Terracing: 5739, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adriano Joinvilense started the match with the kick off. Edmundo Falcão came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dundee's Hristo Botev. But to his dismay, Hristo Botev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edmundo Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hristo Botev in the 9th minute of play. After 9 played minutes FC Dundee got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Orumets. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Edmundo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hristo Botev in the 14th minute of play. Edmundo Falcão came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dundee's Hristo Botev. But to his dismay, Hristo Botev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Edmundo Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hristo Botev, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute Hristo Botev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Medeiros during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulo Medeiros hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mägi in the 32nd minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Edmundo Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Nilson da Rocha threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Dundee's Priidu Elken quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Edmundo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hristo Botev in the 36th minute of play. Cristiano Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Peeter Bonetti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Baptista in the 42nd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hristo Botev was the one to do the kick off. Peeter Bonetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Ferreira in the 51st minute of the match. Martin Mendoza kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Luizinho Velasco struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Peeter Bonetti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville City - FSCMZ. Peeter Bonetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizinho Velasco in the 61st minute of the match. After 66 played minutes FC Dundee got a freekick which was hit by Alex Mägi. Peeter Bonetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Joinvilense in the 76th minute of play. After 83 minutes, Cristiano Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville City - FSCMZ and the FC Dundee players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Baptista. After 84 played minutes FC Dundee got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Orumets. After 85 played minutes, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Inácio Cardoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Peeter Bonetti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Joinville City - FSCMZ reached it. In the 87th minute, Adriano Joinvilense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville City - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 93rd minute, Paulo Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Dundee's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
