Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to 2kC Poznań getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Zbigniew Zaworski hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, 2kC Poznań's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Eberhardt came free, but Eugeniusz Wachna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Gänßle. Edin Džeko struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Eugeniusz Wachna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 27th minute Julian Froylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Wachna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 2kC Poznań's Eugeniusz Wachna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save 2kC Poznań from getting a goal against them. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Wischnowsky showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eugeniusz Wachna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Breiffel, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Gabriel Wischnowsky, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KFC Uerdingen 05's Gabriel Wischnowsky played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Sokol in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Lucjan Sokol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Wischnowsky was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Eugeniusz Wachna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Breiffel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KFC Uerdingen 05's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 2kC Poznań the free kick. The supporters of 2kC Poznań booed when KFC Uerdingen 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Eberhardt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucjan Sokol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Gabriel Wischnowsky made a huge save. Radoslaw Banach's late challenge caught a KFC Uerdingen 05's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radoslaw Banach helped the player get up and apologised. Ariel Breiffel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucjan Sokol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
