Simon Hilhorst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Hilhorst came free, but Mirko Vervoort reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilco Keldermans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mirko Vervoort made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Wilco Keldermans sent off a good shot on target. Laurens van der Tol kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. César Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert Smits in the 38th minute of play. Pieter de Zwart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilco Keldermans in the 41st minute of play forced Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper Mirko Vervoort to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Dudes's Ryan Bergmeester got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
