Mutlu Özaltın got a throw-in 4 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Güney Ferhat. A throw-in in the 9th minute of the game was made by Mutlu Özaltın with Güney Ferhat as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 9th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioan Logofătu to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Bedih Tuğalp sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogdan Lobonț skillfully saved the ball. Melih Cevdet Peker was a little too slow when Victor Piţurcă got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. 16 minutes into the match, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Melih Cevdet Peker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Mutlu Özaltın was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fidan SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emerald the free kick. Mutlu Özaltın kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Melih Cevdet Peker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerald's Ioan Logofătu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mutlu Özaltın, made in the 27th minute of the game. Mutlu Özaltın made in the 30th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Güney Ferhat however managed to control. 35 minutes into the match, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Melih Cevdet Peker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Melih Cevdet Peker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerald's attentive Valeriu Râmniceanu managed to snatch the ball when Bedih Tuğalp made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Davut Terim in the 40th minute of play. Melih Cevdet Peker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Vermeşan, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Emerald were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Fidan SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Carioca took the corner. If Victor Piţurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Piţurcă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jaime Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Piţurcă in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melih Cevdet Peker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Piţurcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Melih Cevdet Peker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Emerald's Victor Piţurcă in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fidan SK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th minute of the match Fidan SK got a corner. Emerald's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bedih Tuğalp ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ahmet Davut Terim made a great header on Fidan SK's corner, it was just that Emerald's Bogdan Lobonț managed to reach the ball for a save.
