Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) Rodney Urbina started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Conrad Carrington's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Nardo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Gilbert Guzman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cornelio Nardo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gep FC's Cornelio Nardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Gep FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Gep FC's Ali Yılmaz got a free kick in the 8th minute. With an all-out effort, C. A. Independiente's Cornelio Nardo threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Conrad Carrington, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Gep FC's Cornelio Nardo got control of the ball when Rodney Urbina tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner ended in Flint Prince almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gep FC's Cornelio Nardo did a great save. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Gep FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Martxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Antonello Bartolomucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, C. A. Independiente's Cornelio Nardo threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Conrad Carrington, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 24th match minute, Gep FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Ederono to maneuver through the defense. Gep FC's Humberto Martxel got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Gep FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Antonello Bartolomucci hit a great ball. With a little luck, Gep FC's Cornelio Nardo got control of the ball when Gilbert Guzman tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrad Carrington in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornelio Nardo saved Gep FC from getting behind. Rodney Urbina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Cornelio Nardo made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Conrad Carrington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Nardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornelio Nardo came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Conrad Carrington. But to his dismay, Conrad Carrington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. C. A. Independiente's Miguel Ángel Santoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonello Bartolomucci in the 38th minute of play. Rodney Urbina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Nardo having to interfere. Ali Yılmaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Ángel Santoro having to interfere. Rodney Urbina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Nardo having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Yılmaz made a kick off. Miguel Ángel Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Martxel in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Conrad Carrington nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Nardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Humberto Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonello Bartolomucci hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, one of C. A. Independiente:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C. A. Independiente. Gep FC's Cornelio Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Urbina in the 72nd minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Flint Prince was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gep FC the free kick. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Flint Prince hit a great ball. When Rosendo Mincho came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Gep FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Mincho couldn't finish the play. Ali Yılmaz hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodney Urbina in the 84th minute of play forced Gep FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gep FC's Humberto Martxel got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. C. A. Independiente had won after a very even match.
